I have over 10 years of experience working as a family court counsellor and 8 years in divorce mediation. Combined with my counselling education and experience, I have an expert level understanding of the impacts of divorce/separation on children. This includes the effects/impacts of:
My approach to developing parenting plans focuses on the emotional, psychological, and developmental needs of each child. This also includes taking into consideration each child's personality and stage of development.
I am also open to mediating individual topics if parents are just having challenges with one specific aspect of parenting after separation.

Please note the first session will be scheduled for 1-2 hours depending on the complexity of your situation.
Virtual appointments are offered on Sunday and Wednesday evenings.
A mediator facilitates your conversation regarding topics such as a parenting plan, child/spousal support, and the division of assets and liabilities. If you reach an agreement, a mediator can write a report that contains all of the terms that were agreed upon. This report is not legally binding.
If you want the details to be legally binding, you can contact a lawyer after mediation is complete to write a separation agreement for you (they copy and paste all the details from the mediation report into their legal separation form); the lawyer will provide legal advice; the separation agreement would then be reviewed by the other person's lawyer; and then once you both sign it in the presence of your lawyers, it becomes a legally binding contract.
Please note that if one of you makes less than $60,000 annually, you can access free mediation services here:
